Story of A Wrinkle in Time

On a stormy night, Meg Murry's family is visited by a stranger, Mrs. Whatsit.

"I just got caught in a downdraft (下沉气流) and blown off course,"she tells them."Let me sit down for a moment, and then I’ll be on my way. Speaking of ways, there is such a thing as a tesseract (宇宙魔方)—a sort of wrinkle in space and time."

Meg’ s father, Mr. Murry, is a scientist who has been working on a tesseract. He disappeared four years ago, but is not truly gone. Mrs. Whatsit says that she and her fellow friends, Mrs. Who and Mrs. Which, know where Mr. Murry is. But to bring him back, they’ll need the children's help.

These ladies later take Meg, her younger brother and her friend on a strange journey. They travel to another planet called Camazotz through a process known as tessering. There they learn that Mr. Murry got lost after having been sent across the universe as a result of his experiments.

Though they manage to save Mr. Murry,Meg's brother falls into the hands of an evil being called IT. Mrs. Which tells Meg that she has one thing that IT does not have—the ability to love. That will be her greatest weapon in her fight against this evil. Alone and back on Camazotz, Meg challenges IT face-to-face.By using the power of love, she is finally able to beat it. As she and her brother get together,they are tessered back to Earth, where they are reunited with their family.
