A Girl Protects Her Friends

9-year-old Zheng Langlang is from Hubei Province. She has lived in Egypt with her family for about 8 months. She loves horses and often rides them there.

One day, she took two friends along to learn to ride horses. The workers chose two horses for her friends. But she thought they were not safe. She wanted to help her friends choose gentle(温顺的) horses before they started riding. So she asked the workers to change the horses. She did this because she saw two people fall off those horses before.

At first, the workers refused and said, “If you ride, you may fall. This is not our fault(过错).” And they didn't even look at her. She got a little angry, so she kept saying loudly,“But these two horses are not safe. You must change them for us.”

After talking for a while, the workers let her choose a horse from five horses. She left. But she told them again, “Don't use those two horses. They are too dangerous.”

Many people online praised her. They said she is a brave and responsible (有责任心的) girl. But Zheng Langlang said she just wanted to protect her friends.
