完整文章

Once upon a time, two brothers who lived on the farms found themselves in a deep conflict. For forty years, they had worked side by side, sharing machinery, labor, and goods without any problems. However, a small misunderstanding grew into a major rift, leading to weeks of silence between them. The tension changed into bitter words, and their relationship, which used to be so good, now seemed completely broken.

One morning, a carpenter came to the elder brother's door. "I am looking for a few days of work," the carpenter said. "Perhaps you have some small jobs I can help with?" The elder brother was still angry with his younger brother. He saw an opportunity. "Yes, I do," he replied. "Look across the creek at my brother's farm. He just dug a wider water passage, but I believe he did it to annoy me. The creek is now much wider, and I can't bear to see his face from across the way. I need you to build something to block the view between us." The carpenter nodded and said, "I understand. I will build something that will satisfy you." The elder brother then left, getting building materials for the carpenter. The carpenter worked hard, measuring, cutting, and nailing as the day went on. By sunset, he had completed his work. When the elder brother returned, he was shocked. Instead of a wall to block the view, the carpenter had built a beautiful wooden bridge, connecting the two farms across the creek. Just then, the younger brother appeared on the other side of the creek, walking toward him with a wide smile. "You are truly nice and kind, my brother! Despite all that has happened between us, you've shown that family can never be torn apart. I am so sorry for my behavior." The elder brother was speechless, but his heart softened as the younger brother came over to him with open arms. The two brothers embraced, and then, one of them turned to the carpenter. "Wait! Stay for a few more days," the elder brother said. "I have many more projects for you." The carpenter smiled, ready to leave. "I would love to stay, but I have many more bridges to build."
