It's raining. Terri asks Betty, her friend, to go to the theatre with her. They get there and go in. They have two good seats. The movie is about a cowboy. He has a dog. His dog helps him. For his name is Chip.
The movie is very good. The girls like it very much and they see it twice. When they come out, it's quite dark and it's still raining.
The girls walk quickly. A police car stops in front of them. A policeman asks them, "Are you Terri and Betty?" "Yes," say the girls. "Your parents are very worried and they are looking for you." "But why?" asks Terri. "Why? It's dark and you aren't at home. It's nine o'clock. You must be at home." "Nine o'clock!" "Yes. And kids shouldn't stay out late." Then the policeman takes them home. Their mothers and fathers are happy to see them. But at the same time they are angry. Do you know why?
